Less than a week after his loan move to Cheshunt on a work experience was confirmed, Arsenal’s teenage Nigerian goalkeeper Okonkwo kept his first clean sheet for the\u00a0Isthmian Premier League side.<\/p>\n
The 18-year-old made his competitive debut for the Ambers in a five-goal thriller against\u00a0Folkestone Invicta at Theobalds Lane on Tuesday, March 19, conceding two goals in a 3-2 win.<\/p>\n
Okonkwo retained his place in the starting lineup for the Non-League Day fixture against Carshalton Athletic F.C. at\u00a0Theobalds Lane on Saturday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers schoolboy Nathaniel Orafu opened the scoring with a great strike from outside the box with four minutes left in the first half, scoring what proved to be the game-winning goal in the process.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Seven minutes into the second half, Okonkwo made a great save to deny\u00a0Saunder Henry from restoring parity.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Brian, younger brother of Arsenal loanee Arthur Okonkwo who is on the radar of Nigeria Football Federation, previously spent time on loan at\u00a0Hitchin Town and Leatherhead.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The promising teenager is expected to train with his Arsenal teammates on Monday and will link up with\u00a0Cheshunt ahead of their league clash against Margate.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Having won four of their last five matches in the\u00a0\u00a0Isthmian Premier League, Cheshunt have moved ten points clear of danger.\u00a0<\/p>\n
