The Ghana Football Association have informed that fourteen players invited to the Black Stars training camp in Marrakech\u00a0have reported for international duty.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Black Stars are holding a training camp in Morocco ahead of upcoming friendly matches against Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Uganda’s Cranes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chelsea’s Cobham product Tariq Lamptey is among the players in camp ahead of the friendly against the Super Eagles.<\/p>\n
The Brighton & Hove defender is making a return to the squad after missing the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to injury.<\/p>\n
A former England youth international, Lamptey switched his international allegiances\u00a0to Ghana in 2022 and was part of the team that competed at the World Cup in Qatar.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Also in camp are:\u00a0Joseph Wollacott, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Andre Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Kassim Nuhu, Abdul Samed Salis, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Patrick Kpozo, Seidu Alidu, Ernest Nuamah, Jordan Ayew, and Denis Odoi.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Medeama SC defender Nurudeen Abdulai has already arrived in camp after receiving a late call-up, bringing the total number of Ghanaian players in camp to fourteen.<\/p>\n
According to the press release by the Ghanaian Federation, the Black Stars\u00a0opened camp on Monday, March 18 and did a workout at the team’s hotel on Tuesday morning in preparation for the two games in Marrakech.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Manager Otto Addo and his assistants will put the players through their paces in their first proper training session this evening.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ghana will take on fierce rivals Nigeria on Friday before facing the Cranes of Uganda on Tuesday, March 26.<\/p>\n
