England U17 international of Nigerian descent Ethan Nwaneri will reportedly sign a historic deal with Premier League giants Arsenal in the coming weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Football Insider,<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0Nwaneri\u00a0is poised to ink a record-breaking contract following a significant bid from Manchester City.<\/p>\n

It is confirmed that the Hale End Academy graduate will put pen to paper on his first professional contract with the Gunners when he turns seventeen on March 21, 2024.<\/p>\n

After months of huge speculation surrounding his future, the attacking midfielder ended up signing a scholarship before the start of the 2023-2024 season and the contract will be converted into a professional deal in sixteen days time.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Arsenal fended off interest from the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea to tie him to a new deal.<\/p>\n

Nwaneri\u00a0holds the record as the youngest player in history to feature in the top-flight of English football, having made his senior debut in a Premier League clash at Brentford at the age of 15 years and 181 days in September 2022.<\/p>\n

Since his historic debut, the Anglo-Nigerian wonderkid has been summoned to the first team on six additional occasions including three times in the UEFA Champions League.<\/p>\n

Nwaneri’s\u00a0professional contract will make him\u00a0the highest-paid academy player in the club’s history.<\/p>\n

This season, he has registered thirteen goals and three assists in thirteen matches for Arsenal’s youth teams.\u00a0<\/p>\n
