His stellar displays played a crucial role in Liverpool\u2019s success during the month.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Jota\u2019s victory, Adebayo\u2019s noteworthy achievements should not be his first career hat-trick in a memorable 4-0 victory against Brighton &amp; Hove Albion.<\/p>\n<p>His performance demonstrated his prowess as a forward, although it was not enough to secure him the award over Jota.<\/p>\n<p>The competition for the January Player of the Month award was fierce, with a six-man shortlist that included prominent names such as Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Magalhaes, Richarlison, and Jota\u2019s Liverpool teammate Conor Bradley.<\/p>\n<p>Jota\u2019s win follows Mohamed Salah\u2019s success in October, making him the second Liverpool player to claim the award this season.<\/p>\n<p>The winner was determined through a combination of public votes on the EA SPORTS website and input from a panel of football experts.<\/p>\n<p>For Elijah Adebayo, his significant
