d\u2019Ivoire in the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire 2023 by winning it.<\/p>\n<p>Mpasi scored the winning penalty to help D.R Congo knockout Egypt from the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON C\u00f4te d\u2019lvoire 2023 in the round of 16 stage.<\/p>\n<p>After the heroics vs Egypt, the goalkeeper is already comparing their run to their CHAN success in C\u00f4te Egypt<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mpasi said after the round of 16 win \u201cWe\u2019re already going to rest well and then we\u2019ll take it match after match. All this without forgetting that DR Congo won a continental title in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire (CHAN in 2009). \u201cMaybe that\u2019s a sign,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The goalkeeper also explained how he prevented Egypt goalkeeper Gabaski from scoring his penalty and the technique behind his winning penalty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI tried to stay calm. I tried to distract Gabaski from his shot and I succeeded.
