Super Eagles’ group opponents at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, Ivory Coast have sent a 53-man provisional squad to the Confederation of African Football,\u00a0 with several players on the books of English Premier League clubs in contention to play in the tournament.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
It is from among these players that\u00a0a final list of 23 to 27 players will be released for the 2023 African Cup of Nations which will be held from January 13 to February 11, 2024 in the Ivorian cities of Abidjan, Bouak\u00e9, Korhogo, San Pedro and Yamoussoukro.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chelsea-owned striker\u00a0Datro Fofana, who is spending the season on loan at Union Berlin and is being looked after by a Nigerian agent Atta Aneke, is joined on the roster by Manchester United winger\u00a0Amad Diallo, Nottingham Forest trio\u00a0Willy Boly, Ibrahim Sangare and Serge Aurier.<\/p>\n

Completing the English-based players are:\u00a0Jean Michael Seri (Hull City),\u00a0Hamed Traore (Bournemouth),\u00a0Simon Adingra (Brighton & Hove),\u00a0Maxwel Cornet (West Ham United) and\u00a0Benie Adama Traore (Sheffield United).<\/p>\n

Former Manchester United center back\u00a0Eric Bailly, Arsenal alum\u00a0Nicolas Pepe, Chelsea academy product\u00a0Jeremie Boga and ex-Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha have also been picked in the provisional squad.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Super Eagles will do battle with the Elephants at the\u00a0Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on January 18.<\/p>\n
