Former Flying Eagles star, Aniekeme Okon headed past Akwa United FC goalie Badmus Nurudeen in the 78th minute for 3-2 at the Eket Stadium on Sunday, November 19.<\/p>\n
The midfielder refused to celebrate the goal against his former club a sign of respect for a club that took him from then NNL side Akwa Starlet during his teenage years.<\/p>\n
Akwa United FC held on to seal their second NPFL win of the 2023\/2024 season as it finished 3-2.<\/p>\n
The Promise Keepers have now won twice in the league and will again hope the latest victory signals a turnaround in the club\u2019s fortunes.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
