Former Nigerian international, Mikel Obi has revealed why young Compatriot, Victor Osimhen will succeed in the English Premier League.<\/p>\n
Mikel, who enjoyed significant success in the Premier League with Chelsea FC shared his thoughts in the latest episode of The Obi One podcast.<\/p>\n
The retired Chelsea FC midfielder also shared his desire to see Osimhen join his former club.<\/p>\n
Mikel Obi said \u201d I think he [Victor Osimhen] does slot seamlessly into the Premier League. He got the tools to be a success in England,\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201d When I look back at him a few years ago, I would say \u2018no.\u2019 But now watching him last season and watching him this season, I would say definitely.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe would come into the Premier League and he would slot right in. He would get you goals, he would run behind defenders, he would stretch the team.<\/p>\n
\u201d And I think this is what probably when you look at a lot of the teams now in Premier League, that\u2019s what they\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n
\u201d A striker who can run. Who wants to run behind the defenders because then it helps your team.<\/p>\n
\u201d Doesn\u2019t it? He stretches the defenders, the game becomes open and then you can create chances. And I think that\u2019s what Victor [Osimhen] would definitely give you.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope you come to Chelsea. But from noises that I hear, he is a big United. But I hope he comes to Chelsea really.\u201d Obi said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
