Celtic-owned goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi has suffered another injury setback at his loan club\u00a0Admira Wacker.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Tobi, the younger brother of 2021 Super Eagles invitee Joshua Oluwayemi, joined Celtic’s feeder club a month ago in search of regular playing opportunities, with Joe Hart, Scott Brain and\u00a0Benjamin Siegrist ahead of him in manager Brendan Rodgers’ pecking order of goalkeepers at the Hoops.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Four days after the capture of Tobi Oluwayemi, the England U20 international was named in the matchday squad as\u00a0Admira Wacker were held to a 1-1 draw by\u00a0Sturm Graz II but was a non-playing substitute.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Since then, he has not been called up for back-to-back games against\u00a0FAC, SKN St. P\u00f6lten and TSV Hartberg\u00a0on account of injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The medical update from Admira Wacker is that the Anglo-Nigerian youngster is recovering from a knee injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the second half of the 2022-2023 season, Oluwayemi’s loan spell at\u00a0\u00a0League of Ireland Premier Division side Cork City was cut short after just two matches due to a groin injury that he sustained.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
He was highly rated by former Celtic boss\u00a0Ange Postecoglou, who included him in gameday squads for the Europa League and Europa Conference League.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
Oluwayemi joined Celtic in February 2019 from the Tottenham Hotspur academy and has a year left on his contract with the Scottish Premiership champions.\u00a0<\/p>\n
