With a statement on their official website<\/a>, Crystal Palace have announced that 2021 Super Eagles invitee Michael Olise\u00a0has committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on a new four-year contract.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The France U21 international is heavily linked with a summer transfer to Chelsea, where he spent the formative years of his career before switching to Reading, from where he moved to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

It had been claimed that Chelsea had activated a\u00a0\u00a335 million release clause in Olise’s previous contract with The Eagles.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

It is now unclear whether the winger will be joining Chelsea this summer despite rumours of an imminent transfer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace Chairman Steve Parish announced that Olise inked a new four-year contract on Thursday afternoon.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

With eleven assists to his name in last season’s Premier League, the Nigeria target was the top assist provider in Europe’s top five leagues for players aged 21 and younger.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

He\u00a0took home a hat-trick of awards at the Crystal Palace End of Season awards, winning not only Players\u2019 Player of the Season but also Goal of the Season and Moment of the Season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Olise\u00a0is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered on international duty with France at the 2023 European U21 Championship.<\/p>\n
