Former Flying Eagles striker Akor Adams announced his arrival by scoring twice for Montpellier on his debut for the club as they played out a 2-2 draw at home to Le Havre in their Ligue 1 opener.<\/p>\n
Having arrived from Lillestrom this summer, Adams was highly-rated with 17 goals in 17 appearances for the Norwegian club this year. The 23-year-old led the line for Montpellier, starting on his debut for the side.<\/p>\n
French defender Gautier Lloris, younger brother to Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo, opened the scoring for newly-promoted Le Havre inside the opening five minutes of the encounter as they looked to claim an upset away from home.<\/p>\n
The minnows held onto the lead until the 58th minute when Montpellier captain Teji Savanier stood up a cross into the box for debutant Adams to head home for his new side and draw them level.<\/p>\n
Just two minutes later, the striker doubled his tally with a composed finish. Centre-back Boubakar Kouyate played a ball into space for the striker to run in behind, and the young striker showed good pace and composure to drill a left-footed finish into the far corner to put his side in the lead.<\/p>\n
After an impressive debut, Adams was substituted in the 77th minute and replaced by French youngster Elye Wahi.<\/p>\n
In the 90th minute, Le Havre managed to steal a point when substitute striker Samuel Grandsir notched up and scored a late equaliser.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
