Chelsea’s Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino\u00a0could not count on the services of the Super Eagles-eligible player during pre-season preparations due to a hamstring injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ailment saw him miss the friendlies with Wrexham, Brighton & Hove, Newcastle United, Fulham and Borussia Dortmund.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Through their official website<\/a>, Chelsea have listed the players that will miss the encounter against Jurgen Klopp’s side and the name of the young winger was missing.<\/p>\n

Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, Armando Broja, Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku are all set to miss the club’s Premier League opener.<\/p>\n

Madueke had a slow start to life at Stamford Bridge last season as he only made the starting XI on seven of the 16 times he was named in the matchday squad in the Premier League and was also excluded from the club’s UEFA Champions League roster for the knockout stage.
