Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam have omitted Nigeria international Calvin Bassey from their pre-season traveling squad to Germany, fueling speculation that a transfer is on the cards.<\/p>\n

The Ajax team, consisting of twenty four players, will be in Herzogenaurach from July 24 to July 29 at the adidas World of Sports campus<\/p>\n
\nBassey has been heavily linked with a return to England, with Fulham his most likely destination.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nThe London club have agreed a \u20ac21 million transfer fee with Ajax for the Leicester City academy product, securing the player ahead of Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nFulham are still yet to agree personal terms with Bassey, but are optimistic to make him their first summer signing of the transfer window.<\/p>\n
\nThe 23-year-old only joined Ajax last summer after an impressive season with Rangers\u00a0in a move worth \u20ac23 million plus performance-related add-ons.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\nBassey offers versatility as he is able to play as a central defender and can be deployed at left-back when needed.<\/p>\n
