Nottingham Forest are banking on the close relationship between their No 9 Taiwo Awoniyi and Kelechi Iheanacho in the race to sign the Leicester City man.<\/p>\n

Awoniyi and Iheanacho have been close friends since their Golden Eagles days, both players key as Nigeria clinched the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup title.<\/p>\n

That connection has continued with the Nigeria Super Eagles as they share same room in camp.<\/p>\n

This connection will be key as Nottingham Forest attempt to sign Iheanacho from Leicester City this summer.<\/p>\n

According to TalkForestTV, \u00a0preliminary talks about a move for Iheanacho to the City Ground,<\/a> has been held already with further talks expected.<\/p>\n

Those conversations will include communications between the two close friends as former Manchester City Iheanacho looks certain to leave Leicester City this summer.<\/p>\n

The Foxes will be playing in the English Championship this season and so is open to the sale of key players to steady the clubs ailing finances.<\/p>\n

If Forest are able to march Leicester City\u2019s price, then Awoniyi will turn agent to convince Iheanacho to commit to Steve Coppers side.<\/p>\n

Another Nigerian at the City Ground, Emmanuel Dennis is among the players who could leave Forest this summer, as the club continues to pursue multiple reinforcement this summer.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
