Kaduna Abuzz With Great Expectation Towards ‘Wedding Competition’ For Zumunci Football Academy’s Secretary

Abakwa area of Kaduna will bet set abuzz this weekend, as grassroots football stalwarts, stakeholders and fans troop out to witness a series of matches organized to mark the wedding of Zumunci Academy’s secretary, Sports247 reports.

The matches will take place under the banner of what has been stylized as ‘Wedding Competition,’ which is bound to become more exciting with the first semi-final featuring the hosts’ team, Zumunci Football Academy on Saturday.

The game, which is scheduled to start at 4pm, will see Zumunci tango highly acclaimed crowd pullers, Ado Yalo Football Academy at L.E.A. Primary School, Abakwa-Kaduna, where the hosts’ team trains three times a week.

Saturday’s game will be followed on Sunday by the second semi-final, which will see two equally popular youth teams from Kaduna go toe-to-toe from 4pm, as City Football Academy battle Hanjen Football Academy for a place in the final.

The winners of both matches will then converge at the same venue on Saturday, June 6th for the grand finale of the mini-competition, which Zumunci’s president, Abdullahi Tanimu said promises to throw up fresh talents from The City of Crocodiles.

He stated in an introductory message ahead of Saturday’s match, “I’m Abdullahi, officer and president of Zumunci Football Club of Kaduna. I have a football academy with good players, young players and talent players.”
