Confirmed: Nigerian fullback ends 14-year association with Arsenal :: All Nigeria Soccer

With a statement on their official website, Premier League giants Arsenal have announced that Nigerian fullback Ryan Alebiosu has ended his association with the club following a permanent transfer to Belgian outfit KV Kortrijk, subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

Alebiosu was on the books of the Gunners for fourteen years, joining the north London club at the age of seven before signing his first professional contract in August 2020.

Although he has departed the Emirates Stadium without making his senior debut, he received two call-ups for first team games, against Liverpool in the semifinals of the Carabao Cup on January 20, 2022, and three days later, he was also a non-playing substitute at home to Burnley in the Premier League.

As an Arsenal player, Alebiosu took in loan spells at Crewe Alexandra and Kilmarnock FC, making 35 appearances combined for both teams.

Alebiosu has signed a three-season deal at KV Kortrijk that will see him remain at the Guldenspoorstadion until June 30, 2026.

The 21-year-old is the second player of Nigerian descent signed by KV Kortrijk in the summer transfer window, after Liverpool-reared winger Sheji Ojo who has been loaned in from Cardiff City.

After six matches, KV Kortrijk are the bottom team in the Belgian Pro League with only one point from a possible 18.
