The former student of Aguda Grammar School in Surulere area of Lagos told Sports247 that he loves the smooth, stylish and skilful approach that Portuguese football is known for.

Oluwasogo, who preferred commercial subjects during his days in school, disclosed: “I love Portuguese football, and that’s why I want to play for Benfica as a professional footballer.

“I also love the style of Nigeria’s Calvin Bassey, who plays for Fulham of England, and former AC Milan of Italy left-back, Theo Hernandez, who is now in Saudi Arabia.

“They are the two players that I like to watch, and I add their skills to my own style. By gaining inspiration from the two of them, I believe God will help me to achieve my dreams.”

He also thanked the head coach and technical director of FROLTISH Football Academy, Umoette Athan (aka Lapa) for helping him emerge as the team’s player of the season during their end of year party on Saturday.
