Froltish Football Academy Is Under Fritish Sports International – Friday Ebeye
Italy-based former grassroots football player, Friday Ebeye (Ijapa) has come out with an explanation of the connection between two similar sounding youth development projects that he belongs to, Sports247 reports,
The two projects are Fritish Sports International and Froltish Football Academy, whose training base is at Olympic Field, near the headquarters of Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Church, off Ijeshatedo Bus Stop, along Oshodi-Mile 2 Expressway, Lagos.

Ebeye, who played as a midfielder in Coach Umoette Athan’s youth club on the pitch owned by Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), from where he was invited to National Grassroots Dream Team before travelling out to Italy, disclosed that Fritish and Froltish are both acronyms that represent the names of his younger brother and their friends.
He added that it was three of them that came together to float the original project that was initially meant to organise competitions only, until others joined and advised that they expand into a football academy.
Ebeye revealed further that Fritish is a combination of three names, while Froltish has four, because a third partner – Oluwole Olaolu – soon joined the original pioneer trio of himself, his younger brother, Timothy and Cyprus-based Shola Garba.
He expatiated: “We started our ventures with a football competition that we staged under the name of Fritish Sports International, which is our registered company. Fritish is a combination of three names – Friday, Timothy and Shola.
“One of our friends, Oluwole Olaolu soon joined us, but we could not change Fritish since it was already registered. That’s why we added ‘OL’ to form Froltish Football Academy as a project under Fritish Sports International.”
He disclosed further that all pioneer founders as well as earlier and latter members of the two ventures operate equally with the same target of discovering future stars from Olympic Field and Coker/Ijesha/Amuwo-Odofin axis that produced them.
Other members of the group are Alhaji Mido Saka (first vice-president), Fatusin Adewale (chief scout), Adebiyi Adebayo (secretary-general) and Coach Umoette Athan (sporting director).
Sports247 reports further that they have all gathered resources to stage a remarkable end of year get-together for the academy this Saturday in the sports hall of their training ground, starting at 11am.
