Victor Osimhen Inspires Taiwo Olarinsoye, As ‘Ikotun Boy’ Gets Stronger In Ikenne


Galatasaray of Turkey striker, Victor Osimhen has been identified as a source of motivation for yet another Nigerian youngster, as Taiwo Olarinsoye (aka Ikotun Boy) says the Super Eagles’ hitman is his role model, Sports247 reports.

Olarinsoye is already on his way towards making as much of an impact as the former Ultimate Strikers of Lagos, VfL Wolfsburg of Germany, Racing Charleroi of Belgium, Lille Metropole of France and SSC Napoli of Italy sensation, as he is growing fast with Beyond Limits Football Academy of Ikenne.

Many admirers have also given him ‘Osimhen’ as his nickname and the fleet-footed lad is now knocking on the door of promotion to Beyond Limits’ senior team, Remo Stars of Ikenne.

The youngster, who grew up in Ikotun area of Lagos and was groomed by Coach Idris Oseni Adewale at Super Accurate Football Academy, told Sports247 that he wants to surpass the heroics that Osimhen is currently exhibiting for club and country.

Olarinsoye declared, “It’s true that I like Osimhen and my fans even call me by his name, but I want to be greater than him.

“I also like Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid, and I also want to pass his level,” said Olarinsoye, who plays on the left wing and joined Beyond Limit in 2023.
