AYIPCRIP-NELIS Football Academy Players Impress Ito, Japanese Football Scout In Lagos
Japanese football scout Masanori Ito, the Chairman of Taiyo International Foundation has expressed his satisfaction with the level of football artistry displayed by AYICRIP – NELIS Football Academy in an exhibitions match in Lagos on Tuesday, Sports247 reports.
The exhibition match which took place at the Legacy Pitch Surulere Lagos, witnessed the presence talented boys of AYICRIP -NELIS Football Academy divided into two sides of Team White and Team Red.
The two sides displayed rare football talents,and skill sets which resulted in a total of nine goals scored, with the famous Japanese football scout, Ito in attendance scouting for talents with the potential to play football to a professional level.
After the exhibition match, Ito, the owner of the Taiyo Foundation, expressed his satisfaction with the basic understanding of the game exhited by the players.
He revealed the boys display confirmed his notion that Africa has lots of deposits of raw football talent with untapped potential.
He then confirmed he has pencil down names of players that will follow him to Japan for greater exploits in a chat with Sports247 during the exhibition.
Ito said: ” It’s a good exhibition match, it has been interesting to see lots of talented young footballers on display.”
” I have seen at least two players I will take back to Japan to continue their football, I am not disappointed, the talents are here and this confirmed my belief that Africa is the raw football talents,” Ito told Sports247 .
AYICRIP -NELIS Football Academy is an initiative uniting the African Youth Initiative on Crime Prevention in collaboration with Japan’s Next Leaders Initiative for Sustainability.
The AYCRIP-NELIS is a transformative initiative that uses football to solve societal challenges like Crime, Poverty and Poor Leadership with targets on recruitment of street boys and under-cared kids giving them hope in life through football and proper care
