Community | Headstart Programme boosts mental health of pupils transitioning from Year 6 to Year 7

Through the Headstart programme, Wigan Athletic Community Trust has been supporting the mental health of students as they transition from primary school into secondary school and face the challenges that come with that transition.
Targeting pupils who might struggle with problems like anxiety or low confidence, the programme focuses on teaching different coping strategies, such as how to deal with new environments and social situations, giving them the skills they need to thrive in and outside of school.
