Fulham CB Tosin named in Carabao Cup Team of the Round dominated by Liverpool, Middlesbrough

Tosin Adarabioyo has been recognized for his outstanding performance during Fulham’s Carabao Cup quarterfinal clash against Everton on Tuesday, with the central defender making the Team of the Round for the quarterfinals powered by Whoscored.com ratings.

 

Tosin scored the winning penalty as Fulham qualified for the semifinals of the Carabao Cup for the first time in their history, beating Everton 7-6 at Goodison Park.

 

The Manchester City academy product was a pillar at the heart of the Fulham defence and kept the Everton strikers at bay until the 82nd minute when Beto nodded in an equalizer from close range.

 

Liverpool and Middlesbrough dominated the Carabao Cup Team of the Round for the quarterfinals with nine players selected between the two clubs. 

 

Tosin and United States international left-back Antonee Robinson are the Fulham players that made the cut.

 

Goalkeeper Tom Glover is protected by a back four of Joe Gomez (Liverpool),  Tosin Adarabioyo (Fulham), Dael Fry (Middlesbrough) and Antonee Robinson (Fulham), while the midfield contains Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool), Jonny Howson (Middlesbrough) and Curtis Jones (Liverpool).

 

Cody Gakpo (Liverpool), Harvey Elliott (Liverpool) and  Morgan Rogers (Middlesbrough) are the forwards selected.

 

In regular time, Tosin made a combined five tackles and interceptions, as well as 10 clearances and two blocks, to land a rating of 8.25.
