England squads announcement: Chelsea and Tottenham starlets among 7 Nigeria-eligible players called up:: All Nigeria Soccer

The English Football Association announced the Young Lions’ rosters on Friday ahead of international matches later this month, with seven Nigeria-eligible players getting invites.

 

England U21 head coach Lee Carsley has kept faith with 2023 European champion Noni Madueke when naming his squad list for the European Championship qualifiers with Serbia and Ukraine. 

 

Madueke, who has logged just 43 minutes for Chelsea since the start of this season’s Premier League, is one of seven forwards named in the latest England U21 squad. 

 

2023 Flying Eagles invitee Owen Goodman has been called up by England Men’s Elite League squad – formerly known as the Under-20s.

 

Joining Goodman on the 21-man roster are Brentford’s Michael Olakigbe and Southampton winger Samuel Edozie. 

 

England Men’s Elite League squad, comprising players born between 1 January 2002 and 31 December 2004, will face Romania and Portugal on October 12 and October 17 respectively.

 

Manchester City striker Justin Oboavwoduo will join up with England U18 squad in the coming days ahead of friendlies against 

Belgium, Morocco and Korea Republic at the Marbella Football Centre in Spain.

 

The 2017 world champions are using the friendlies to prepare for the 2023 Fifa U17 World Cup holding in Indonesia next month.

 

England U17 coach Greg Lincoln has selected Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Callum Olusesi and Newcastle United forward Trevan Sanusi for next week’s double-header with Norway at St. George’s Park.

Samuel Edozie (Southampton)  – Elite League squad
